Arrow Films in the U.K. are set to release 18 films from sixties Cult filmmaker Russ Meyer on DVD (in the PAL format) early next year. Included in the collection of re-mastered films are the VIXEN titles including BENEATH THE VALLEY OF THE ULTRA VIXENS, VIXEN and the infamous 'Ode to the violence in women!' - FASTER PUSSYCAT KILL! KILL! These U.K. releases will be loaded with extras including interviews, commentaries, trailers and photo galleries. Here is the list of scheduled releases with dates:

This year, ei Independent Cinema has a lot of releases scheduled for its various product lines: Shock-O-Rama Cinema, Seduction Cinema, Retro-Seduction Cinema and Retro-Shock-O-Rama Cinema. Michael Raso, President, ei Independent Cinema, has stated, “I’m pleased to tell you that we continue to acquire and restore classic exploitation movies from the 1960s and 1970s, a project with which I am personally involved.” Here are some announcements and release dates:
RETRO-SC ACQUIRES TWO DORIS WISHMAN FILMS
Two movies by “sexploitation” film pioneer Doris Wishman have been acquired by ei Cinema’s Retro-Seduction Cinema label and will be released to DVD for the time ever in late 2005 and 2006. Both HIDEOUT IN THE SUN, Wishman’s first feature film, and THE PRINCE AND THE NATURE GIRL have been restored to their original, scintillating vibrancy through state-of-the-art high-definition technology.
One of erotic filmdom’s most prolific and audacious movie-makers, Wishman wrote and directed more than two-dozen features between 1960 and her death in 2002, including such cult favorites as SATAN WAS A LADY, A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER, and BLAZE STARR GOES NUDIST. Today, a growing legion of fans embraces the unique visual style found in her films, as well as the often off-the-wall subject matter
NICK PHILIPS VISITS EI, RECORDS COMMENTARY TRACKS
Sexploitation director Nick Philips – who produced dozens of psychedelic, ultra-erotic, 60-minute films in the late 1960s and early 1970s – recently visited ei Cinema’s corporate offices in Butler, N.J., to record commentary tracks for three of his movies that will be released later this year: CRIMINALLY INSANE (also known as “Crazy Fat Ethel”), SATAN’S BLACK WEDDING and CHANTAL.
CRIMINALLY INSANE and SATAN’S BLACK WEDDING were Philips’ only forays into the horror genre and will be released under ei Cinema’s Retro-Shock-O-Rama label. CHANTAL will be released on the Retro-Seduction Cinema label along with a remake of the film that stars Misty Mundae, Julian Wells, Darian Caine and Julie and Lizzy Strain and was directed by avant-garde filmmaker Tony Marsiglia.

STEWARDESSES (Jan 25) Retro-Seduction Cinema
Al Adamson & Sam Sherman’s cult classic now available on DVD for the
first time. Two disk set includes feature film ‘Naughty Stewardesses’.
SWEDISH WILDCATS
(March 29) Retro-Seduction Cinema
A bordello caters to wealthy client’s fantasies. This is one of legendary
director Joe Sarno’s most shocking and provocative films, and will be
released on DVD for the first time ever under the Retro-Seduction Cinema label
in March. The film, which features cult cinema stars Diana Dors and Christina
Lindberg, caused a sensation when it first came out and, thanks to ei Cinema,
now benefits from a state-of-the-art, hi-definition transfer from an original
35mm print. Extras on the double-feature dvd include a 2004 interview with Joseph
Sarno and Peggy Steffans-Sarno, a 2002 featurette “New York Wildcats”,
trailers for other Sarno films that will be released soon, and a collectible
booklet featuring extensive liner notes on Swedish Wildcats by sexploitation
historian and New York University lecturer Michael Bowen.
